No Doubt Scrapbook

Last week, I went to the hospital with my friend and while she had a doctor’s appointment I was sat in the waiting room. Guess who was staring up at me?! It was Gwen! That is, a Sweet Escape Gwen, from the cover of Observer Woman magazine from August, 2007.

I wrestled with myself about taking it from a waiting room but I decided to replace it with a new copy of Star magazine from the newsagent (which had no Gwen in it). Is that bad??

Anyway, so now I have this magazine that was only released for one day back in August 2007! You can read the full article which I have transcribed and see the scans in the No Doubt Scrapbook gallery.

The current issue of Public magazine, France has a feature of Kingston’s birthday and candids from the week leading up to the event. Included in the feature are candids of Gwen, Patti and Dennis Stefani, Gwen’s niece Madeline, Nicole Ritchie, Benji Madden and Victoria Beckham.

This week’s Life & Style magazine USA features an interview with Gavin Rossdale talking about his marriage to Gwen Stefani and family life with Kingston. The feature also has a full page photograph of Gwen, Gavin and Kingston’s day out in LA on the April 6th.

What’s it like to have been married to Gwen for the past five years?
I enjoy having an independent wife who goes out and does her thing. It’s inspiring.

Gwen and Gavin are featured in this week’s Star magazine in the UK (dated May 19th 2008) with a photograph from their trip to Santa Barbara Pier in California on April 25th. There are more candids from this day at Celebrity Gossip.

Smooth Sailing

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale enjoy a walk on the pier in sunny Santa Barbara. Things are going smoothly once again for Gwen, 38, after some initial discomfort during the pregnancy of her second child. “It was really tough for her, and she was really tired and really suffering,” says hubby Gavin, 42. “It was hard, but now she’s blossoming and in great shape. I think the second one is going to be really hard. I’m just trying to be right there for her and help her through it.” Gwen and Gavin expect a little brother or sister for 23-month-old Kingston in July.

The Executive editor from V Magazine, Julie Ann Quay, mentions Gwen Stefani’s V feature in an interview on nymag.com. Julie is also pictured holding her favourite choice of Gwen’s three covers.

We have six covers a year, so we aren’t concerned about what actress has a movie coming out or whatever. With Gwen Stefani, it wasn’t like, “Oh, she has an album, let’s put her on the cover.” Rather, we just pick the people we want to celebrate and serenade.
