New Year’s Resolutions × January 01, 2009

Well, 2009 looks to be a very exciting year for all No Doubt fans what with the upcoming pre-album tour and I’m sure more and more news of a new album. All of this is likely to mean lots of new magazine covers, clippings, interviews and articles featuring No Doubt!

Although I’m sure I will be very busy scanning and transcribing I do have a number of plans for the site which I hope to have finished before the new tour starts:

• Gallery – I’ve had this is the works for a while now but I’m hoping to launch the all new No Doubt Scrapbook Gallery very soon. A gallery that is easier to search, tagged, archived and accessible to everyone (no matter your browser or connection speed).
• Cover looks – This will take a while to compile but, for all you Gwenabes out there, I hope to archive some of Gwen’s magazine cover looks, and how you can re-create them.
• Layout theme – Obviously when artwork for the new album surfaces there will be an additional layout for you to choose from in the ‘customise’ section of the sidebar. But perhaps an overall new look would be fun??!
• Social network – As a side project to the Scrapbook I’ve been looking at creating an entire social networking website for all No Doubt fans where we could all share personal, and No Doubt related things. This would include:
  • Groups
  • Profiles with comments/walls and activity feeds
  • Blog posts with comments and lots of No Doubt layouts to choose from
  • Avatars
  • Private messaging
  • Status updates
  • Photo albums

It is my hope that over the next year more and more of the No Doubt fansites will band together to help each other out and really share their knowledge and expertise, especially in support of a project like the social network. The ND fan community has some fab sites with really rich, specialist content. Personally, I’ve done work with Bec of No Doubt Australia and Jenny of Beacon Street as well as sharing lots of knowledge with Amy from EIT in this last year and I really look forward to doing more for these sites, (and perhaps other sites!?) to develop the best No Doubt fansites that can possible be!
