Happy birthday lamb83

Now, I don’t do this for just anybody but I would like to take a minute to wish a very happy birthday to Lamb83 aka Rosie!
Rosie has been a keen contributor to NxDScrapbook of late; donating and transcribing some amazing articles including: an Orange County Register interview with Gwen about Autumn 2007 L.A.M.B collection; a Star Bulletin interview with Tom from back in 1998; and a Los Angeles Times interview with the band from early ROS era.
Rosie has recently announced some news of her own – she will be contributing news items to Everything in Time.com!! Congrats Rosie, I hope that you enjoy being part of the EIT team.

Tayler’s wall of clippings

Woah!! Thanks for Tayler for sending this in. Looks like she’s been very busy collecting clippings and creating a collage that takes up an entire wall in her house! Nice work Tayler!
If you’ve created a collage of clippings send a picture of it to me and I’ll post it up

Also, I’ve been adding lots more articles this week to the archive so check out the list of most recently added in the footer.

Beacon Street Online

Check out the fantastic new layout at Beacon-Street.net. You may recognise it as Jenny from BSO designed that layout a while ago and had it another version of the site. But I have just built for her in Wordpress so that she can more easily update her news posts and media pages whilst having a fab ND layout! Yay for Jenny!

No Doubt Australia: relaunch

Over the past few months I’ve been working with Bec from No Doubt Australia to relaunch her site with a new layout and to implement Wordpress. This means she can have multiple authors on the site, it’s more secure, she can post from anywhere in the world and it’s really simple for her to have new layouts!
Bec designed the site herself, I built it and Daniel from Rock Steady Vibe created a flash intro for the site. Please check it out!
If anyone else would like help with their existing site, to turn it into a Wordpress site, or just help with Wordpress themes, then I would be happy to give you advice!

V Mag’s Julie Ann Quay
Thanks to Amy at EverythingInTime.com
The Executive editor from V Magazine, Julie Ann Quay, mentions Gwen Stefani’s V feature in an interview on nymag.com. Julie is also pictured holding her favourite choice of Gwen’s three covers.

We have six covers a year, so we aren’t concerned about what actress has a movie coming out or whatever. With Gwen Stefani, it wasn’t like, “Oh, she has an album, let’s put her on the cover.” Rather, we just pick the people we want to celebrate and serenade.

You ask, Gwen answers
What better way to give you the goss on Gwen Stefani than to let you ask her the questions yourselves?
If you’re making a solo album, does that mean No Doubt are breaking up? Vicky, NSW
“No! The music I wanted to make is something I couldn’t do with No Doubt. It would exclude members because it’s dance and electronics. But it’s cool, because the band has been so supportive, and there’s no plan to quit what we’re doing. I don’t want to call it a solo record, I call it a dance record. I wanted to make a modern version of the ’80s stuff I grew up on, music that you can dance to in a club.” Read the rest of this article »

Mission to 1982
Tired of Ska, Bored with bindis, and suffering from writers block, No Doubt looked back to the 80’s for inspiration, conjuring a new-wave fest that would do Missing Persons proud.
Now only if a certain person would propose…
In bed with Gwen Stefani! Bliss! Rapture! Total listener-contest dream come true!
That is, if you’ve haven’t already spent two years in a tour bus with Gwen Stefani. Or a thousand hours at soundchecks with Gwen Stefani. Or 18 months in recording studios with Gwen Stefani. Or untold nights in cramped, urine-smelling, graffiti-mottled backstage dressing rooms with Gwen Stefani. Read the rest of this article »
