Ok, we’re now back to normal, I think. But we have had quite a few issues today so if you notice anything strange please leave a comment so I can fix it.

Ok, so I’ve been a very bad No Doubter. I’ve been neglecting my website. There has been lots of clippings and international magazine covers since I last posted which I haven’t put up. But I’m going to put up as much now as I can and keep putting things up when they get to my inbox, I promise!

So, sorry to anyone who’s sent stuff in that I haven’t posted up yet, hopefully you will see your submissions in the next few hours.

However, while I have been away from No Doubt Scrapbook I have been doing a few other things:

• I went on holiday to Nice in France which was beautifully sunny, unlike my home town of Leicester, UK;
• I designed and built a new Wordpress theme for Jenny at Beacon Street based on the Jackie Arce photos that she wanted to use;
• I built a new Wordpress theme for Anne at JustNoDoubt.net to her design;
• plus… I’ve been working on a secret project with my fellow No Doubters which (may be a while till we launch but) will be spectacular!

I know I haven’t updated the site in a while… I suppose this is the calm before the storm in terms of magazine coverage. If you haven’t seen already, Gwen was recently spotted shooting an Elle magazine cover (presumably for the July Music issue), so watch out for more updates coming soon!

This has been a long time coming but I am now happy to launch the all new No Doubt Scrapbook covers gallery! I’ve been working hard on the new gallery to make sure you can find what you want in every possible way that you possibly can. Use the yearly archive, search box (for a magazine name or country) or even the awesome tag cloud.

Looking for all magazine covers featuring Adrian Young?? Use the tag cloud to click on Adrian’s name and all the covers in the gallery will be filtered to only feature those with Adrian on the cover! If you want to see all the covers with the whole band on click ‘No Doubt‘ in the tag cloud. You can also use the tag cloud to filter by era – look back on all those awesome covers from the Return of Saturn era, for example!

Unfortunately not all of the covers are in the gallery quite yet but I’m working on it! So far there is everything from 1995 to 2003. Some things are still a bit messy but I’m hoping that very soon the gallery will be a top resource for all you wonderful No Doubt fans and scrapbook vistors!

Well, 2009 looks to be a very exciting year for all No Doubt fans what with the upcoming pre-album tour and I’m sure more and more news of a new album. All of this is likely to mean lots of new magazine covers, clippings, interviews and articles featuring No Doubt!

Although I’m sure I will be very busy scanning and transcribing I do have a number of plans for the site which I hope to have finished before the new tour starts:

• Gallery – I’ve had this is the works for a while now but I’m hoping to launch the all new No Doubt Scrapbook Gallery very soon. A gallery that is easier to search, tagged, archived and accessible to everyone (no matter your browser or connection speed).
• Cover looks – This will take a while to compile but, for all you Gwenabes out there, I hope to archive some of Gwen’s magazine cover looks, and how you can re-create them.
• Layout theme – Obviously when artwork for the new album surfaces there will be an additional layout for you to choose from in the ‘customise’ section of the sidebar. But perhaps an overall new look would be fun??!
• Social network – As a side project to the Scrapbook I’ve been looking at creating an entire social networking website for all No Doubt fans where we could all share personal, and No Doubt related things. This would include:
  • Groups
  • Profiles with comments/walls and activity feeds
  • Blog posts with comments and lots of No Doubt layouts to choose from
  • Avatars
  • Private messaging
  • Status updates
  • Photo albums

It is my hope that over the next year more and more of the No Doubt fansites will band together to help each other out and really share their knowledge and expertise, especially in support of a project like the social network. The ND fan community has some fab sites with really rich, specialist content. Personally, I’ve done work with Bec of No Doubt Australia and Jenny of Beacon Street as well as sharing lots of knowledge with Amy from EIT in this last year and I really look forward to doing more for these sites, (and perhaps other sites!?) to develop the best No Doubt fansites that can possible be!

Thank you to every single person who has visited NxD Scrapbbok in our first year. I have lots of hopes for the site in the next year – some of which will hopefully be released in time for our anniversary on January 13th! I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and I know we are all looking forward to new clippings, magazine covers and interviews from No Doubt in 2009!!
