Gwen Stefani has moved into an über pad after paying a whopping £7.5million. Insiders say Gwen instantly fell in love with the luxury house, which is just a short drive from where she grew up in Orange County.
And the 38-year-old singer, who also shares a £4 million home in London’s exclusive Primrose Hill with husband, Bush star Gavin Rossdale, 42, and 18-month0old son Kingston, is looking forward to some time at home after a year-long world tour - and what a luxurious home to relax in!
Alongside its four bedrooms, the house has seven bathrooms, complete with sunken bathtubs and mirrored walls - ideal for make-up fan Gwen.
Its quirky, open plan interior is right up the singer’s street, with flatscreen TVs in every room and cutting edge design throughout.
And its floor-to-ceiling windows, showcasing LA’s twinkling skyline, are perfect for bling-loving Gwen, who readily admits: “I’m a sucker for anything that sparkles.”
“Gwen fell in love with the house straight away,” says a source. “She had to have it.”
The 10,000sq ft property is in an exclusive gated community off celeb-central Mulholland Drive - Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio are just two A-list neighbours - and boasts two acres of land with tennis and basketball courts, plus a pool. Even a walk down the 250ft drive could be considered exercise!
The contemporary mansion is said to be ‘designed for a celebrity’ and comes complete with its own private cinema room. No wonder previous owner Jennifer Lopez loved it so much - she even married her husband Marc Anthony there, before selling it to club owner Sam Nazarian for £6 million in 2004.
And with four bedrooms, we wonder if we’ll be hearing the patter of more tiny feet soon! A new brother or sister for little Kingston perhaps?
